Pate de verre

Contemporary Tradition

In Lin McJunkin’s pate de verre work, she casts large chunks of glass in sand or plaster molds. Light meandering through the labyrinthine forms and bouncing off the lacy edges enlivens the work that is highlighted in sculpted metal frameworks, often created in collaboration with metal sculptor Milo White.    These pieces form the core of her smaller, more intimate gallery pieces, and are exhibited and collected throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and even Africa.
